The Monktoberfest

Update: In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, we have received a number of inquiries about the 2020 Monktoberfest. We don’t know with any certainty what the future holds and we will err on the side of safety, but what we can tell you is that we are proceeding as if the Monktoberfest will be held. More on that here.

That being the case, we plan to open the event for the tenth time on Thursday, October 1st and conclude on Friday, October 2nd.

If you’re interested in speaking, please see the call for proposals.

If you’re interested in sponsoring, please reach out to Juliane Leary.

For the tenth consecutive year, the conference that was born from a tweet will be back for 2020, bringing you the best speakers, talks you will hear nowhere else and – of course – the best craft beer the world has to offer.

Attendees arriving the night before the conference will be treated to a special welcome event. Thursday will feature a full day’s worth of single track sessions, and at the conclusion of the day we’ll be gathering for our usual off-the-hook beer tasting and dinner. Join us on Friday for a half day of sessions before heading out to enjoy an autumn in the lovely Portland, ME.
