The Monktoberfest is a day and a half of single track sessions, with a relaxed schedule that will allow for an equally rewarding hallway track. We attend a lot of conferences; we know how valuable the face to face time is. For those that would like to meet more privately, or set up demonstrations of their projects, we have a variety of onsite meeting rooms set aside for that purpose. See one of our onsite organizers for details on booking these; they’ll be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis.

The conference sessions will open at 10:00 AM  in Rines Auditorium at the Portland Public Library and conclude at 5:00 PM. Following the conclusion of Day 1, you’ll have an hour to leave bags at your hotel and make your way over to the dinner venue.

Here’s the rest of the high level schedule for the Monktoberfest.

Venue: CASCO BAY LINES (56 Commercial St, Portland, ME)
Time: 5:15 PM – 8:30 PM

Early Wednesday evening, as last year, we will be hosting a special welcome event for all attendees. If you can make it to the Portland waterfront by 5:15, we will be buying you a few of the best local beers and a few things to nibble on, then we’ll turn you all loose to grab dinner at one of the dozens of nationally renowned restaurants in the neighborhood.

Getting in to town late? Check the #monktoberfest tag on Twitter to catch up with your fellow attendees.

Venue: PORTLAND PUBLIC LIBRARY (5 Monument Sq, Portland, ME,
Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The Main Event. Beginning bright and not early at 10 AM Thursday, we kick off the Day 1 sessions in Rines Auditorium at the Public Library. Plan on arriving at the library at 10 AM for registration, and head downstairs. We’ll have coffee and something edible on hand. And yes, beer at lunch.

Venue: TBD
Time: 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM

The perfect cap to the day. A full spread and beer tasting personally guided by two of the best in the world, whom attendees of last year’s event (may) remember as Ryan and Leigh. Up from their new venue Of Love and Regret in Baltimore just for this event, they’ll be walking us through each pairing with their usual brilliance.

: PORTLAND PUBLIC LIBRARY (5 Monument Sq, Portland, ME,
Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Sleep in a bit, then rejoin us at the library to eat and recover from the night before over our final conference sessions. Following the conclusion of the show, we will unleash you on downtown Portland for lunch with a new friend or five.
